According to Chicago police, the shooting took place between people inside two vehicles, with the woman getting struck by gunfire.The incident began about 9:27 p.m. when a 22-year-old man driving a red sedan near the intersection of East Chicago and Michigan Avenues was approached with a white sedan. An unknown person inside the white sedan pulled out a gun and fired shots, police said The 22-year-old man was not injured, police said, but the red car was struck multiple times. A 25-year-old woman walking outside was also struck in the thigh.Video and photos from the scene showed a large police presence outside stores near Chicago and Michigan Avenues, with part of the area taped off. Two cars, a black SUV and a red sedan could also be seen crashed near the scene.
