San Antonio police said the boy was shot at a home on the 9900 block of Kents Store, which is off South Ellison Drive near the Marbach Road intersection. The boy's father pulled up to a hospital about 3:15 a.m. Thursday at Westover Hills to get help for his son, San Antonio police said. From there, the boy was taken to University Hospital in critical condition.
The father and the boy's grandmother rushed the boy to the hospital, leaving a woman behind to look after another child at their home, police said.
