One young woman is fighting for her life while another is suffering from broken bones after police say a crash involving a dirt bike and an SUV unfolded on a street in Philadelphia’s Frankford neighborhood Monday night.

Officers responded to the accident at the intersection of Castor and Kensington avenues around 8:20 p.m.Police say two women were riding on a red Honda dirt bike when they collided with a Ford Explorer making a left turn on Castor Ave.
Both women were transported to a local hospital, where the driver was placed in critical condition and the passenger in stable condition.The cousin of the passenger identified her as 22-year-old, Genesis. Due to the accident, she broke her femur and pelvis and is expected to be okay.The driver of the dirt bike is still fighting for her life and remains in very critical condition after officials say she received trauma to her head and neck.
