UPDATE: A firefighter was also injured in the fire at a housing complex in San Jose, according to the fire department. The blaze has been knocked down.
The fire along the 1500 block of Fitchville Avenue was reported just before 10 a.m., San Jose Fire Department Capt. Sean Lovens said.
There are at least six units in the impacted building, according to the fire department. The second floors and attics in three of those units sustained significant damage.
