Two inmates have died and five others are injured after an Alabama Department of Corrections transport van crashed in Dadeville Wednesday, according to the ADOC.

ADOC said the van was transporting seven inmates when it was involved in a single-vehicle crash, resulting in two fatalities and other serious injuries. ADOC said Crayton died on the scene and Clements succumbed to his injuries after being transported to a hospital. Jones was listed in critical condition while the others were treated for non-life-threatening injuries.
