CLEVELAND, Ohio - Two people were found guilty on all charges for shooting and killing a 10-year-old in February 2025. According to a release by the Cuyahoga County Prosecutor , Michael C. O’Malley, 35-year-old Jeffrey Grant and 34-year-old Lanaemarshe Grant were found guilty on the following charges on Feb.
13:Two counts of attempted murderOne count of possession of cocaineOne count of having weapons while under disabilityOne count of trafficking in cocaineOn Feb. 7, 2025, a man was backing out of his driveway near E 147th Street and Edgewood Avenue in Cleveland with a woman in the passenger seat, and her 10-year-old son in the backseat. Jeffrey Grant and an unknown man drove to the area of the residence in a rental car, when they approached and shot at the vehicle multiple times before fleeing. One of the bullets struck 10-year-old Kaden Coleman in the head, and he was later pronounced deceased, the release said. After further investigation, police executed a warrant to search a residence in Maple Heights, where they discovered a drug lab in the basement with a large of amount of drugs. The release said Lanaemarshe Grant and Jeffrey Grant were present and arrested, and surveillance footage, clothing, cellphone data and records, and the rental car all linked Jeffrey Grant to the homicide.Most Read
