I was able to scoop him up, and then Firefighter Falco found the second dog about three feet away," Correira said. "We’d do it for anyone. I take partial to dogs. I like dogs, and they don’t have a chance to get out like humans do, so you got to give them a little extra help.” “That’s our job. I love it. There’s nothing better," said Jason Falco, a firefighter with the Central Islip Fire Department. The family asked not to be identified but they showed News 12 their dogs, Charlie and Tyson. They say they're unharmed and doing fine. They were staying with neighbors as of Saturday evening.
