KEARNS — Two people were shot and killed and two others were injured on Monday in what police believe started as a domestic violence incident.Unified police were called to a residence at about 10:30 p.
m. near 5900 South and 4100 West on a possible domestic violence incident in progress, and officers were told a weapon may be involved. Just as officers arrived, they heard gunshots from inside the home and two adults exited the residence and told police they had been shot, said Unified Police Sgt. Aymee Race.Those two were taken to a local hospital in serious condition. Race said Tuesday the two were still hospitalized and "stable."Officers then entered the home and found two more adults who were deceased and appeared to have been shot, Race said.Police have not released the identities of any of the victims or whether they believe there was more than one gunman. Race said detectives were not ready Tuesday morning to say whether everyone involved was related, but called it an "isolated incident" and that there was no ongoing threat to the public.Additional information is expected to be released after autopsies are completed, possibly by Tuesday afternoon.This story may be updated.{#dv}
