The Grade-II listed church has been converted into 15 apartments
The former St Mary's Church, between Park Road and Brooklands Avenue, in Waterloo, has been transformed into new accommodation. The Grade-II listed building, which dates back to 1887, is now split into 15 "luxury" one and two bedroom homes.
The publication specified two 'top districts' were Dingle and Waterloo. Waterloo was hailed for its "seaside, sunsets and independent shopping". The Spire has been designed by Winter Melia Developments which specialises in converting period properties. Founder Phil Melia said: "The former St Mary's Church is steeped in history and this sympathetic conversion captures the heritage of this magnificent building by respectfully incorporating the significant original features throughout.
The Logic Estate Agent listing reads: "A unique opportunity to purchase an apartment within a range of 1 and 2 bedroom homes, all set within the converted church and its grounds providing adequate parking. Nestled on a quiet road in Waterloo, within the conservation area, The Spire is the latest, unique and iconic development from Winter Melia Developments.
