Police not releasing name of sole juvenile suspect in Oct. 28 incident that briefly locked down Otay Ranch Town Center
A 15-year-old boy is in custody on suspicion of a shooting that injured four people at an Otay Ranch Town Center brewery a week ago, Chula Vista police said Saturday. The boy was arrested Friday evening in San Diego without incident, according to a news release from Sgt. Anthony Molina. The suspect's name was not released because of his age. Police received several calls about 7:15 p.m. Oct. 28 reporting shots fired at the Novo Brazil brewery.
Also injured but not involved in the dispute were a 58-year-old man and 60-year-old woman shot in the legs, and a 21-year-old woman whose leg was grazed by a bullet. None of the wounds was life-threatening. Several people including patrons of the business provided witness statements, and video was obtained showing much of the incident. Police said they would not make the video public at this time.
