A shooting involving a police officer happened early Friday, Escondido Police said.
The shooting was reported at around 7 a.m. in the 2500 block of East Valley Parkway. EPD said San Diego Police Homicide investigators are taking over the investigation, which investigates officer-involved shootings in Escondido under terms of a countywide agreement.
