The Quezon City Police District arrested 12 people across the city in an intensified anti-criminality campaign, with the charges ranging from gambling and illegal drugs. | JMangaluzINQ
Meanwhile, the anti-drug campaigns led to the discovery of shabu amounting to P81,600,000, together with other drug paraphernalia from the suspects. The Masambong Police Station arrested suspects Analisa Mamaso while Novaliches Police Station captured Florentino Calapit.
Similarly, drug suspects Alex Villar and Joel Torres Tarinay were also arrested by Anonas Police Station and are held under police custody for violating the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002. Moreover, the Fairview Police Station conducted anti-gambling operations which resulted in the capture of three suspects identified as Antonio Ramboyond, James Evangelista, and Rey Ferrer while playing “Tupada”. The accused are to be charged for the violation of the Anti-Illegal Gambling Law at the QC Prosecutor’s Office.
“Ang tagumpay na pagkakaaresto sa mga taong sangkot sa ibat-ibang uri ng krimen at ipinagbabawal na sugal ay isang indikasyon ng aming determinasyon na gampanan ang aming tungkuling panatilihin ang kaayusan at katahimikan dito sa ating lungsod,” the QCPD Director Police Brigadier General Nicolas D Torre III said, expressing his appreciation for the hardworks of the police officials.
