With the continued spike in COVID-19 cases in Calabarzon, at least 11 infected patients died Thursday in the region. | dtmallarijrINQ /PDI

Last month, at least 78 COVID-19-infected patients died in Calabarzon, 111 in October and 99 in September.

The DOH-Calabarzon tallied 886 active COVID-19 cases as of Dec. 15, reflecting an increase from 749 on Dec. 1, data showed. Cavite topped the list with 286 active cases, followed by Laguna with 220, Batangas with 175; Rizal with 130; and Quezon with 75. INQ
