The Department of Health (DOH) on Thursday recorded 1,184 new COVID-19 cases, while the active tally reached 18,365.
Based on the DOH’s latest data, the number of active cases went up from 18,035 reported on Wednesday, while the nationwide caseload is now 4,052,967.In the last two weeks, the National Capital Region had the highest number of new infections with 5,792, followed by Calabarzon with 2,400, Central Luzon with 1,179, Cagayan Valley with 744, and Western Visayas with 710.The death toll climbed to 64,968 with 24 new fatalities.
As of Tuesday, the country’s bed occupancy rate was 23.5%, with 6,559 occupied and 21,401 vacant beds.A total of 12,140 individuals were tested on Wednesday, and 335 testing laboratories submitted data. —
