Dozens of dogs are currently waiting for their forever home
Like many rescue centres across the UK, Freshfields Animal Rescue in Sefton is seeing unprecedented numbers of animals without homes. From pets being handed in, to strays found walking the streets, rescue centres are "bursting" as they urge people to think before they buy.
Thor is looking for a new home due to a change in his owner’s circumstances. He has lived in the same home since he was a puppy. Oscar was a stray and was never claimed so his life before is not known. However his behaviour often suggests it was not a pleasant one. Oscar is very wary of new people, and it takes him a long time to accept you.
China is looking for a home where she is the only pet but is used to older children. More about China can be found here.Aura is a two-year-old bully cross who was taken to the rescue when one of the children in her family became unwell and they were unable to provide her with the care she needed. Aura is friendly with other dogs when she is out and about.
