1 dead, 1 injured after shooting near Fort Bend ISD elementary school

A man was killed and a woman injured following a shooting near a Fort Bend Independent School District elementary school late Tuesday in southwest Houston, officials said. City and district police around 8:30 p.m. responded to the 5000 block of Raven Ridge Drive in response to a report of a shooting, Lt. Larry Crowson, of the Houston Police Department, told Metro Video Services reporters. They found a man dead at the scene and a woman with gunshot wounds.MORE CRIME NEWS:Investigators late Tuesday were still working to gather information about what might have happened, or what led to the shooting, Crowson said.
