Darien, N.Y. — The New York State Department of Motor Vehicles is attempting to crack down on fake identifications at concert venues across the state.
“They want to make sure that everyone who's at a concert venue or bar or restaurant is there for the right reasons,” said Lisa Koumjian, the DMV's deputy commissioner.With fake ID technology improving over the years, the state is taking a proactive approach in making sure legal IDs are as difficult as possible to duplicate.
Even if your ID looks real, the DMV said the underage drinking enforcement details are best in class.
