Marvel Comics is expanding the universe of the popular mobile game Marvel Rivals into comic books with a series of variant covers featuring artwork from the game's developers. Simultaneously, Marvel is launching an exciting crossover event called X-Manhunt in their X-Men comic books, featuring Professor X's escape from prison and the ensuing conflict among mutant factions.
Marvel Comics is aiming to capitalize on the immense success of the mobile game Marvel Rivals by expanding its universe into comic books. They've seen great results with similar collaborations featuring Capcom Vs. Marvel covers in the past, and now they're replicating that strategy with Marvel Rivals . In March, ten new comic books will boast artwork from both Marvel Games and NetEase Games, the developers of the popular mobile shooter.
This new wave of variant covers will showcase a variety of playable characters from the game, highlighting its dynamic art style and unique character designs. Featured heroes include Doctor Strange, Moon Knight, Psylocke, Luna Snow, and many more. Fans can get their hands on these limited-edition covers starting in March by preordering them at their local comic shops. This strategy isn't limited to Marvel Rivals. Marvel is also launching an exciting crossover event called X-Manhunt in their X-Men comic books, also set for release in March. This saga unfolds with Professor X escaping from Graymalkin Prison, igniting conflict and division among the mutant factions. The question remains: what prompted Professor X's daring escape, and will his former students attempt to protect, recapture, or even eliminate him? The seven-chapter X-Manhunt event will spread across multiple X-Men titles, including Uncanny X-Men, Nyx, Storm, X-Men, X-Factor, X-Force, culminating in the special one-shot X-Manhunt Omega. Each issue will feature a special connecting variant cover by renowned artist Phil Noto, showcasing the key players in this upcoming confrontation. Noto's captivating artwork portrays the X-Men as the outlaws they are, ready to face justice for their alleged crimes
