Farmhouse Vineyards is set to release a limited-edition red wine blend called ' The Observer ' to commemorate the total solar eclipse on April 8. The wine, made from grapes harvested during the 2017 solar eclipse , will be exclusively available to VIP ticket holders for the vineyard's Solar Eclipse Viewing Experience in Johnson City , Texas . The blend is a combination of Grenache , Syrah , and Mourvèdre grapes hand-harvested from the Crookshouse Block in the Texas High Plains.
Only 16 cases were produced, with the wine being aged for three years in preparation for the 2024 celestial event
