The French not using the gender-neutral pronouns themselves and the opposition of the French education minister have been highlighted.

The new guidance, which comes into force for GCSE exams being sat this summer, has been criticized by the Family Education Trust for promoting an 'LGBTQ+ agenda' to children. The Education Secretary and the former French education minister have called for a public inquiry to examine how gender ideology has been allowed to erode child safeguarding
