Starting next month, the 'Rise of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles ' series, which is based on iconic and beloved comic book characters, revolves around four mutated brothers as they battle powerful villains.
The show features modern re-imagining of the franchise, with Luke Ward and Andy Suriano being responsible for its development. Unlike in recent adaptations, the turtles use their mystical powers to defeat their enemies, incorporating fantasy elements into the story. Alongside their friend, April O'Neil, and under the guidance of their master Splinter, the four brothers protect New York City from major threats.
The series received positive reviews and has been well-received by audiences, holding an 86% audience score on its platform. It was followed by a feature film and later seasons. Controversially, the series never received a third season. The show's voice cast includes Ben Schwartz, Brandon Mychal Smith, Omar Benson Miller, Josh Brener, and Kat Graham.
It premiered on July 20, 2018, and all episodes are currently on Netflix. One major update has been the release of 'Rise of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: The Movie', which premiered on August 5, 2022.
