m. to 3 p.m. Hear from author Jack Drake as he shares how his journey through law and civil rights shaped his passion for collecting contemporary African American art. This event is open to members and future members, and you can sign up the same day to attend! Don’t miss this powerful and insightful conversation.is bringing playful creativity to the Museum of Fine Arts on April 18 from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Designed for children ages 2 to 5 and their caregivers, this new program invites little ones to explore the museum through movement in a fun and engaging session led by. Children will use creative dance and guided movement to connect with the artwork around them, discovering how their bodies can move like the figures they see in the galleries. Registration is currently at capacity, but this is still a great program for families to keep on their radar.in Opelika is back and bigger than ever! Happening from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. downtown, you’ll find more than 20 food trucks, live entertainment, and local vendors all along Railroad Avenue and 1st Avenue. Plus, this year brings themed nights, live bands, and even a summer movie series, so bring your chairs and blankets and make a night of it! Kicking things off on this Friday, it’s “Opelika in Bloom” with live music from Truck Dog and a fun flower bar experience. Great food, great music, and great vibes!is happening at Montgomery Whitewater bringing the community together for a great cause. Enjoy live music, delicious food, and kid-friendly activities and more! All proceeds support the Downtown YMCA.
