All the gear and equipment belonging to the Midview High School girls’ softball teams was destroyed in a fire Wednesday afternoon.
LORAIN COUNTY , Ohio - All the gear and equipment belonging to the Midview High School girls’ softball teams was destroyed in a fire Wednesday afternoon.
Flames broke out inside the varsity girls’ locker room at the school in the 38000 block of Capel Rd. in Grafton around dismissal time. All students and staff were safely evacuated. Dan May, the Midview High School Athletic Director, is now asking for help from the community so the girls can play in their tournament game this weekend. A local tavern is also helping the team by raising money to help replace the lost equipment.
