Driver slams into Met-Ed truck in York County, injuring worker in bucket, police say

m. on Monday, April 6. Police said a 22-year-old man driving a Lexus sedan failed to stop for a Met-Ed flagger who was holding a stop sign and directing traffic in a work zone. The Lexus driver crashed head-on into a Met-Ed truck, causing 'significant' damage to both vehicles, according to police. Investigators said a Met-Ed lineman was in the truck's bucket and suspended in the air doing work on the power line at the time of the crash. The lineman was transported to a local hospital with minor injuries, according to police. The department said the Lexus driver was seriously injured and taken to York Hospital. Their condition is unknown. The incident remains under active investigation.
