ANCHORAGE , Alaska - Mathew Thomas Becker , 61, who APD said it was looking for Saturday, has been located and is facing charges after his ex-wife said he shot at her and her father was found dead, according to court documents.
Initial charging documents note an APD officers requested an arrest warrant for Becker on the charges of 1st degree attempted murder and 3rd degree assault . The documents allege Becker shot at his ex-wife outside a business on Cordova Street before 9:30 a.m. Saturday. She told officers that when she got out of her car that morning to unlock her business, she saw Becker sitting in a Nissan Altima, according to the documents.She told the officer that she then tried to unlock the business, but “believed it had been tampered with as her key would not go into the lock,” documents said. She said Becker then started to approach her and “began firing multiple shots at her as she ran from him in fear of losing her life,” according to the court document. She hid and called APD. She also reported she was concerned for her father who was at her home, according to the court documents.and found her father, 87-year-old Romaine Clark, dead with “apparent gunshot wounds,” according to the documents. Traffic cameras show a Nissan Altima entering the neighborhood where Alder Drive is around 9:39 a.m. and leaving around 9:45 a.m., which is after Becker’s ex-wife had called police to report she had been shot at, according to court documents.Mathew Thomas Becker, 61, has been located, according to the Anchorage Police Department.The Anchorage Police Department is looking for help finding 61-year-old Mathew Thomas Becker.Instead, call 911 to report his location.Copyright 2026 KTUU.
