CLEVELAND, Ohio - Cuyahoga County Prosecutor Michael C. O’Malley announced the sentencing of a man Monday for sexual assault.

Doyral Wynn, 20, was sentenced to 40.5 to 45.5 years in prison for sexually assaulting a mother and her daughter in May 2024 in East Cleveland. According to the prosecutor’s office, he was also sentenced for additional incidents, including a shooting that linked him to the sexual assault.

On May 2, 2024, a 37-year-old mother and her 19-year-old daughter were walking home from a store on Hayden Avenue in East Cleveland, when they were approached by an unknown man in all black with a mask.

The prosecutor’s office said after they complied, he ordered them to a nearby field, forcing them to the ground and sexually assaulted them at gunpoint. After the assaults, Wynn fired two shots into the air and released the victims. The shell casings were later recovered by police.

On March 7, 2025, a man was driving his wife and two children southbound on E 133rd Street in Cleveland when a Jeep began to follow their vehicle. As the Jeep passed, the driver, Wynn, fired two shots at the victims’ vehicle and immediately drove away. No injuries were reported, and Wynn was later identified as the shooter, the prosecutor’s office said. The shell casings from this shooting matched the casings from the sexual assault scene, linking Wynn to the incident.

A search warrant was executed on April 9, 2025 at Wynn’s residence, and seven firearms were recovered from a safe. On April 18, Wynn was arrested by the Cleveland Division of Police and was found in possession of a firearm that matched the assault and shooting. The prosecutor’s office said the firearm was reported stolen in 2023, and Wynn was additionally convicted of having weapons under disability relating to an unconnected traffic accident where he was found in possession of a firearm.
