Life-size cow sculptures customized by local artists will be auctioned off to benefit CHRISTUS Children’s Foundation.

The CowParade, the fund-raising public art project that spread painted cow sculptures with punny names across San Antonio in 2003, is slated to return to the city in 2025. Artists of all stripes are invited to submit their ideas for the cows, 75 life-sized resin and fiberglass sculptures. The pieces will be auctioned off and the proceeds will benefit CHRISTUS Children’s Foundation. Designs should celebrate San Antonio history and culture.

Stock Show & Rodeo announces first slate of concerts for 2025 Applications can be downloaded at anyartist.org and must be submitted by Sept. 6. Artists who make the grade will have eight weeks to work on their pieces. They will receive a $1,000 stipend. In addition, some smaller sculptures known as Mini-Moos will be painted by patients at CHRISTUS Children’s and will be available for sale.
