Ryanair, the Irish budget airline, reported strong financial performance for the year as its pre-exceptional profits increased by 40 per cent compared to the previous year. The Irish budget airline also reported strong financial performance for the year with €2.26billion in pre-exceptional profits and a 11 per cent increase in revenue. Passenger numbers also hit a new high of 208.4million, while a load factor of 94 per cent was maintained.
However, the conflict in Iran and potential fluctuations in fuel prices have cast uncertainty on the future. Ryanair's boss Michael O'Leary expressed concern about the current state of uncertainty and hinted at the need for further guidance on future profitability as a result. The board has also initiated discussions with O'Leary over an extension of his contract until April 2032
