Hobby Lobby is recalling specific plush toys, the Giraffe Plush Toy with clip and the Llama Plush Toy with clip, due to a potential choking hazard. The recall follows one report of a detaching leg. Consumers who purchased these toys should return them for a full refund.

Hobby Lobby has initiated a recall of specific plush toys due to a potential choking hazard , as announced by the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission. This recall impacts two particular plush toys : the Giraffe Plush Toy with clip and the Llama Plush Toy with clip. The primary concern stems from the possibility of small parts detaching from the toys, posing a risk to young children. The company has taken this proactive measure to ensure the safety of its customers.

The affected toys were available for purchase across Hobby Lobby stores nationwide, as well as through their online platform, hobbylobby.com. Consumers who have purchased these items are strongly urged to take immediate action to address the potential safety concern.\The Giraffe Plush Toy, which is part of the recall, is characterized by its yellow body and a matching yellow claw clip. The toy incorporates orange and blue legs, along with multicolored paws. The giraffe's ears feature a distinct black-and-white animal print pattern. The approximate length of the giraffe toy is nine inches. To identify if a specific giraffe toy is included in the recall, consumers should look for either 'HL699436' or 'HL731481' printed on a white sewn-in label. The accompanying hang tag displays the number '2553675' on the front left corner. The Llama Plush Toy, also subject to the recall, features a white body and a green claw clip. It includes a mirror and an orange triangle teether attached. The llama's legs are colored orange and yellow, and it has multicolored paws. The length of the llama plush toy is approximately 12 inches. Similar to the giraffe, identifying characteristics on the label are crucial. The white sewn-in label of the llama toy will read 'HL699436', and the hang tag will show the number '2553634' on the front left corner. Consumers should pay close attention to these details to determine if their specific toy is affected.\A significant number of units are affected by this recall, with approximately 21,230 toys involved. The company has received a single report of a leg detaching from a plush toy, which led to the release of small beads, highlighting the potential choking hazard. Fortunately, no injuries have been reported to date. The recalled plush toys were available for purchase at Hobby Lobby stores across the United States and on the company's website, hobbylobby.com, between May 2025 and December 2025. The price points varied depending on the specific toy, with the giraffe priced around $6 and the llama priced at approximately $8. In response to the recall, Hobby Lobby is advising all consumers who possess either of the recalled toys to discontinue their use immediately. Consumers are instructed to return the affected toys to their nearest Hobby Lobby store in order to receive a full refund. This proactive approach underscores the company's commitment to customer safety and responsible product management. The recall serves as a reminder for consumers to remain vigilant and to promptly address any potential safety concerns associated with children's products
