Kevin King, founder of King’s Canvas, is hoping to bring something big to the Capital City.

Kevin King , owner of King's Canvas in Montgomery , is teaming up with local production companies trying to bring the Levitt AMP Concert Series to town. He needs your help.“We consider ourselves a cultural hub in West Montgomery ,” said King.

“We have an art studio where people can create. We have a gallery. This is a space where cultural expression lives. We have an outdoor stage where we’ve had many performing artists.” Kevin King, owner of King's Canvas in Montgomery, is teaming up with local production companies trying to bring the Levitt AMP Concert Series to town. He needs your help.“The Levitt Foundation has a concert series called the Levitt AMP Concert Series. What they do is give grants to cities all over the nation.” The winning cities will get up to $120,000 in grant money over three years to put on 8-10 free concerts over the summer. To get the money, he needs your help. “We need people to vote, to tell their network, flood peoples inboxes, text threads, GroupMe, whatever.” Kevin King, owner of King's Canvas in Montgomery, is teaming up with local production companies trying to bring the Levitt AMP Concert Series to town. He needs your help.It’s an online contest, with cities all over the U.S. competing. The voting ends Monday, Sept.15 at 7 p.m. The King’s Canvas is hosting a voting party at its location at 1413 Oak Street in Montgomery. You can go“Over the years they’ve pushed art to the side,” said Ernest Carter with Lit Visionz production company. “So, bringing art back and giving people a chance to express themselves, it’ll mean a lot.” They’re one last strong push to hopefully give Montgomery three years of summer fun.
