Two individuals lost their lives in a devastating fire that erupted in a mobile home in Beaulah, Alabama, early Wednesday morning. The Lee County Coroner's Office was alerted to the blaze shortly before 7 a.m. on Lee Road 2150. First responders arrived on the scene to find the mobile home engulfed in flames. Sadly, 43-year-old Johnny Manley and 45-year-old Crystal Colley were pronounced dead at 7:10 a.m.
Their remains were transported to the Alabama Department of Forensic Sciences in Montgomery for a post-mortem examination.Neighbors expressed profound grief over the tragedy and shared memories of the deceased couple. Tywanda Jones, a resident of the area, recalled the couple's kindness and how they often shared ice cream with her grandchildren. Jones described the scene as heartbreaking when the family arrived, witnessing their immense emotional distress. Another neighbor, Clifton Willis, who had a property bordering the burning mobile home, noticed the flames from his window and immediately contacted the fire department. Willis recounted the intensity of the fire and expressed relief that it did not spread to any adjacent residences.Lee County Sheriff Jay Jones stated that the relationship between the deceased couple is currently unknown. He confirmed that a young boy, who occasionally stayed with the couple, was not present at the home during the fire as he was at school. Sheriff Jones emphasized that there is no suspicion of foul play, and both the Lee County Sheriff's Office and the Alabama State Fire Marshal's Office are actively investigating the cause of the fire
