A man is under arrest for allegedly shooting another man in the chest Saturday, according to court documents.
Anthony Brown , 49, is charged with first-degree assault , discharging a firearm into an unoccupied vehicle and illegal possession of a handgun.

Court filings indicate the victim and Brown were friends and that they were attending a small barbecue in the 3400 block of Fountain Circle on Saturday.
The filings indicate both the suspect and victim had been heavily drinking at the time of the incident. At some point, Brown is said to have gone to his vehicle where he retrieved a .45-caliber handgun.
He then returned and shot the other man at close range after the man reportedly told Brown to stop calling him a derogatory word.
Court records also show that Brown fired one round into the victim’s unoccupied car before leaving the scene.
