China Mobile, Huawei, and Leju Robot unveil the first 5G-A humanoid robot, enabling precise positioning and real-time remote control.
Chinese firms have joined hands to introduce the world’s first humanoid robot powered by 5G-A technology. Developed by China Mobile, Huawei , and Leju Robot , the robot utilizes 5G-A for high-precision positioning in large spaces without extra equipment, overcoming indoor Wi-Fi limitations.
The robot was among a host of innovations showcased by Chinese firms at the Mobile World Congress Barcelona 2025 in Spain. The advancement enables real-time remote control, allowing the robot to perform complex tasks, according to a Chinese online outlet. Last week, China’s humanoid robot from Unitree turned into a Kung-fu master after a dazzling dance debut. In-home settings, the robot has demonstrated capabilities in cooking, sweeping, and managing smart home devices. For instance, during an automated cooking task, Kuafa utilized the Pangu model’s embodied agent framework to understand its environment, process natural language commands, plan tasks, and execute them with dual-arm coordination.According to the firms, with its ability to generalize operations across different tasks, Kuafa exemplifies the potential of 5G-A-powered humanoid robotics.
