“I seriously doubt that the Supreme Court is going to grant the motion to expedite the appeal in this case,” says Clemon. Clemon represents state senator Bobby Singleton in a lawsuit that was consolidated with a lawsuit from plaintiffs including Evan Milligan. That suit accused the state of Alabama of violating the voting rights of Black voters by cramming most into one congressional district, diluting their voting strength.
