Heavy rain and high rivers are causing navigation issues in the Chena River and on the Dalton Highway, where overflow has caused a closure.

FAIRBANKS, Alaska - Heavy rains in Interior Alaska have caused overflow on the Dalton Highway , according to the Alaska Department of Transportation, forcing the agency to The water is overtopping the roadway from mileposts 142 to 144, as well as milepost 230, according to Angelica Stabs , a public information officer with the DOT .
