A Salisbury Township, Lancaster County , man is facing multiple felony charge s after state police say he accidentally detonated a pipe bomb in his shed Saturday night, with his wife and two children nearby.

Family was nearby during explosionPolice said the children had been playing in the yard near the shed earlier but were in their bedrooms at the time of the explosion. The man's wife was in the living area of the home. Authorities identified the man as Travis Peachey, who lives on Jacobs Road near Spotts Road.Police say bomb was built for guestsPolice said Peachey told them he had built the bomb to entertain guests he thought were coming over. When he learned they were not coming, he attempted to disarm the bomb but accidentally dropped it, causing the explosion. Injuries reportedPolice said Peachey ran into the home after the explosion and told his wife he needed to go to the hospital.His face and one of his eyes were injured, and shrapnel was removed from his head and placed into evidence.No other injuries were reported.
