CLOVERDALE , Ind. - Around $9 million worth of suspected cocaine was seized early Tuesday during a traffic stop about 40 minutes outside of Indianapolis. Indiana State Police say a criminal interdiction trooper pulled over a speeding semi on Interstate 70 near Cloverdale in Putnam County.
Cloverdale is about 40 minutes west of Indianapolis. The trooper noticed “multiple criminal indicators,” which ISP said suggested the driver, 27-year-old Harmandeep Singh of Bakersfield, California, was “operating below industry standards.”The trooper found nearly 400 pounds of suspected cocaine in several duffel bags and cardboard boxes, according to state police.
