Iesha Harris was arrested April 7 in Macon

CINCINNATI - The woman accused of ramming police vehicles during a two-state chase, sending one officer to the hospital, fled while out on bond and is now under arrest in Georgia, according to the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office.

She has signed extradition papers and will return to Hamilton County as soon as the local sheriff’s office or another agency picks her up, Bibb County sheriff’s officials tell FOX19 NOW.

“The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigation Division Drug Unit, Gang Unit; U.S. Marshals, and FBI investigators arrest an Ohio fugitive,” the sheriff’s office announced in a Facebook post. “According to case information, the female was wanted on three charges of Aggravated Assault/Felonious Assault out of the Hamilton County, Ohio Sheriff’s Office, after injuring an officer during a pursuit.

The wanted woman was taken into custody after investigators located her at a Shell Gas station on the corner of Northside Drive and Forest Hill Road. ”Harris is charged with leading police on a 90-minute-long chase across Hamilton County from Norwood to Harrison, into Indiana, and back into Hamilton County on Feb. 28.

Norwood police said they initially tried to stop the vehicle she was driving near Williams Avenue and Montgomery Road because it was wanted in connection with felonious assault and weapons under disability warrants. At one point, one of the police vehicles ended up on the trailer bed being towed by her SUV as other officers continued to pursue.

That happened when one of the Cincinnati police officers used a PIT maneuver to try to stop her, but his police SUV hit the trailer instead, causing his vehicle to end up on top of the trailer, body camera footage shows. A PIT maneuver is a police tactic designed to stop a fleeing vehicle by steering into its rear quarter panel, causing it to spin out.

A second CPD SUV did the PIT maneuver on the suspect’s vehicle, and that caused the police SUV on the trailer to flip, according to the footage. The officer in the police SUV that flipped off the trailer and Harris went to the hospital with minor injuries, according to police.

“Vehicle pursuits are dangerous. Not as dangerous as allowing a felonious assault suspect to wander the streets to locate their next victim,” reads a “Policing is dangerous and sometimes messy. It’s a danger less than 1% of Americans choose to accept. God bless the men and women who face these dangers daily to protect strangers.

” A woman is under arrest in a multi-state chase that damaged three police cruisers and sent one officer to the hospital on Saturday, Feb.28, 2026. Norwood and Cincinnati police initially charged Harris with four counts of felonious assault and single counts of failure to comply with police, discharging a firearm on or near prohibited property, and illegally having a gun, court records show.

Hamilton County Municipal Court Judge Bernard Mundy set her total bond at $110,000 when she appeared before him last month on the chase charges. He gave her cashless bonds on three charges according to court records.driving on a suspended license and operating a vehicle without reasonable control, according to the OR bond sheets.

They noted she admitted to police after she was taken into custody that she’s been on the run for felonious assault charges since 2023. That’s why Harris ran from police, prosecutors noted, because she didn’t want to get caught and go to jail. Harris was in a wheelchair when she appeared in court. Her lawyer told the judge she suffers from a “plethora of medical issues,” including a broken ankle, collapsed lung and broken ribs.

After she was released, Harris cut off her court-ordered ankle monitor and failed to return to court late last month for a second arraignment when a Hamilton County grand jury indicted her on three counts of felonious assault and a single count of failure to comply with an order or signal of a police officer, according to court officials and court records. FOX19 NOW reached out to her lawyer and Judge Mundy for comment and will update this story when we hear back.
