A man was killed and four others are hurt after a crash early Sunday morning in Hancock County that officials believe was caused by a drunk driver.
HANCOCK Co., Ohio - A man was killed and four others are hurt after a crash early Sunday morning in Hancock County that officials believe was caused by a drunk driver.Samenda Moreau, 21, of Findlay, was speeding in the northbound lanes of the interstate when she crashed into the back of a pickup truck that was also traveling northbound, according to the Ohio State Highway Patrol.
The truck was pushed off the side of the roadway and overturned.The driver of the truck, a 51-year-old woman, and a 19-year-old back seat passenger, both from Englewood, were hurt in the crash, according to officials. The woman was transported to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. The teenage passenger had minor injuries, troopers said. A 31-year-old passenger in Moreau’s car was also hurt. He was treated at the scene and released, according to authorities.Officials said alcohol is believed to be a factor in the deadly crash.
