) - The Huntingdon community is rallying behind the family of Aidan T. Doss, a college student who was killed in a car crash in Lee County just three days after he graduated.
Doss, 21, was identified by the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency on May 10, as the victim of a deadly crash near Gregory Glen Road just after midnight. Now, just days later, community members have raised more than $34,000 to help cover Aidan’s funeral expenses through a Huntingdon President Anthony Leigh shared a post on Facebook Sunday morning saying Aidan had a “servant and hospitable heart,” and that he was greatly loved by the Huntingdon community.
“I am heartbroken to share the news that Aidan Doss, a decorated member of our Huntingdon class of 2026, was killed in a car accident early this morning,” Leigh said. According to Leigh’s post, Aidan was a business major who played on the Hawks football team for four years. He was also a devoted member of the Lambda Chi Alpha Fraternity.
A friend of the Doss family shared that a celebration of Aidan’s life is set for May 17 at Gardendale First Baptist Church.
