A wildfire off C Street and W. 100th Avenue has been reported, according to the Anchorage Fire Department.

ANCHORAGE, Alaska - A wildfire off C Street and W. 100th Avenue has been reported, according to the Anchorage Fire Department . The reported human-started fire, according to the Alaska Wildland Fire Information , started at 12:18 p.m., AFD Wildfire Division Chief Jon Glover says the fire is 80% active.

He also asks people to stay away and not fly any drones over the fire. There are no evacuations at this time, according to the Anchorage Fire Department. AFD Dispatch also requests that people avoid calling 911 about the smoke in the area so dispatch lines remain available for active emergencies. The Division of Forestry & Fire Protection stated on social media that they are sending two engines and a Helitack to assist the Anchorage Fire Department.
