A concert honoring fallen law enforcement in York County will go on this year after a 3-2 vote in Manchester Township.

A concert honoring fallen law enforcement in York County will go on this year after a 3-2 vote in Manchester Township . The Fields of Honor is a benefit concert to recognize and support first responders. It started last year honoring Officer Andrew Duarte. This year, it will focus on the three members of the Northern York County Regional Police Department who were killed in September of 2025. However, just because it's for a good cause, doesn't mean it was easy to get passed. The main concern for residents is the noise. Last year, the event brought in 4,000 attendees and more than $600,000. The Manchester Township Board of Supervisors previously denied a permit needed for the concert. The company in charge of the concert, Inch & Co, successfully appealed the decision during Tuesday's meeting. They agreed to find a new venue next year if they want to continue the concert.

Community reacts 'I would've liked to see a little bit more back-and-forth about maybe altering the schedule. I think the middle ground would've been to change the timeframe slightly to then appeal to not only them still having the event, but also allowing the neighbors and the people that are directly affected to not hear noisy music at 11 o'clock at night,' said Manchester Township resident Michael Noll.

'I think it's something that we're grateful to the board of supervisors for passing. I think it was important for us to come out to the meeting because we do wanna hear our neighbors, we want to be good neighbors. That's really where this event started. It's a benefit to the community, and we want to recognize and support those first responders that do so much for us. So, I think it was important for us to be able to come out and express that in person,' said Inch & Co's Chief Experience Officer Matt Marshall.

Country artist Dustin Lynch will headline the event, which is happening on Saturday, June 20, at Inch & Co Farm. The proceeds will go to UPMC for ballistic safety vests and a memorial garden for the fallen Northern York Regional Police Officers.

Data Center Discussion Tabled The committee also talked about potential plans for a potential new data center. The vote regarding ordinances surrounding the data center was tabled. A vote will be taken on ordinances and requirements for those potential facilities in June.
