HENRY COUNTY , Ala. - A Headland man faces sex abuse charges and attempted sex abuse charges, according to charging documents. Troy Daniel Smith faces two first degree counts of sex abuse and one count of attempted sex abuse following his arrest on Friday in Henry County .

Court records did not contain documents that would have provided context to the charges. A call to Headland police seeking additional information was not immediately returned. Troy Daniel Smith faces two counts of first-degree sexual abuse and one count of attempted sexual abuse following his arrest Friday in Henry County.Court records show that Smith on Thursday—one day before his arrest---filed for divorce from his wife of nearly four years.
