Former ENHYPEN member Heeseung, now known as Evan, is launching his solo career under BELIFT LAB. The artist unveiled profile images and his new stage name, promising authentic music and a minimalist aesthetic. Evan chose this name that holds precious childhood memories. His solo debut follows his recent departure from ENHYPEN, with an album already in development.
Not even a month after announcing his departure from ENHYPEN , Heeseung is ushering in his new solo era and reintroducing himself as Evan . On April 8, BELIFT LAB announced Heeseung 's new moniker, unveiling the artist's first official profile images as a soloist under the label.
According to a press release from the label, the first images of Evan feature “minimalist makeup and effortless styling” to show his “most authentic form,” doing away with extra adornments. BELIFT LAB said the images capture 'the purest form of Evan—an artist at the very beginning of his identity, before any external definition is applied.” Explaining the decision behind his new name, the former ENHYPEN member said: “Evan is a name I’ve cherished since childhood, one that holds many of my most precious memories. Through this name, I hope to reach fans with music that fully expresses my most honest and natural self.” In March, when it was announced that Heeseung would be exiting ENHYPEN after six years, BELIFT LAB said he would remain with the company to debut as a soloist soon, with an album already in the works. 'Heeseung has his own distinct musical vision, and we have decided to respect it,” the label said of the reasoning for his sudden exit. In addition to a new stage name and styling, it was also announced that Evan has formally launched his own official Instagram account, which you can follow here. No other socials have yet been announced for Evan, and fans are also waiting on further news about his debut.
