Hathaway Brown School shared Tuesday the loss of one of its students.
According to the social media post, the school is mourning the loss of Kori Johnson , in graduation class of 2027, passed away after her courageous battle with rhabdomyosarcoma.
Hathaway Brown School said Kori faced her illness with remarkable strength, grace and resilience, and remained a source of inspiration to all who knew and loved her. She will be remembered for the warmth she brought to others, her quiet determination, and the genuine joey she carried and shared so freely. Whether she was on the golf course, in the dance studio or in the classroom, Kori showed up fully with heart, curiosity and care for those around her.
The school says it will hold her family close and will continue to support one another as it honors Kori’s life.
