A Butler County mother accused of lying about her 2-year-old child’s condition to get unnecessary medical treatment has been sentenced.
HAMILTON, Ohio - A Butler County mother accused of lying about her 2-year-old child’s condition to get unnecessary medical treatment has been sentenced. Jennifer Parker was sentenced to five years community service after pleading guilty to one count each of attempted endangering children and endangering children.
She is also required to wear an electronic monitoring device.when he did not need to be admitted. Twenty of those incidents were in Florida where the family lived until the end of 2024. They later moved to Butler County, and Parker hospitalized her son four times in two months, prosecutors said. Prosecutor Lindsay Sheehan said Parker would over-utilize “inappropriate medical care” and under-utilize “proper medical care.
” Jennifer Parker has been arraigned on three child endangering charges, according to Butler County prosecutors.
“They specifically cited multiple instances where the mother was not providing appropriate medical care, despite her child showing all instances and ability, for instance, not to have a feeding tube, and she was refusing to move him off that feeding tube and provide oral feeds,” Sheehan previously said. “She was just a caring mother that wanted the best for her children,” Carpenter previously said.
