OLED TVs are renowned for their deep blacks and excellent contrast. The new Haier C11 OLED TV is no different. I’ve been using it since June, and at its price point, the new Haier product seems like a good deal.
But a TV is more than just its panel. If you’re in the market for a new TV, here’s what you need to know about the Haier C11 OLED.I’m impressed with the build quality of the Haier C11 OLED TV. It features a sharp design that stands out, with minimal bezels and a soundbar at the bottom. The soundbar is well-crafted and supported by a bass unit at the back. The Haier TV sports a thin chassis and you get a curvy stand, which looks different but pleasing. With its premium look and feel, it’ll easily blend into your living room. The Haier C11 OLED screen delivers excellent image quality once you’ve fine-tuned it to your liking. I turned off all processing settings, and the result is a sharp, detailed, and vibrant display.and a bunch of other stuff. The TV handles dark scenes exceptionally well, allowing you to distinguish between different shades of black, even in near-pitch-black conditions. You get details that you might miss on QLED TVs. While some TVs tend to over-boost colors to uncomfortable levels, the Haier C11 OLED maintains a natural balance. The TV offers basic Picture Modes from Google TV with granular controls for fine-tuning the display quality. I kept MEMC off for both movies and sports, as it adds artificial frames for smoother playback, which looks unnatural. The display is glossy, but once turned on, the reflections from windows in my living room weren’t noticeable. It offers great viewing angles, complemented by the soundbar for an immersive experience. The Dolby Atmos-supported soundbar is fantastic for movies.You can turn off Dolby Atmos when watching something like the news or if you prefer a more natural sound. The TV speaker performs well across the frequency spectrum, without feeling strained at the bass or overly sharp at the treble. The Haier C11 OLED comes equipped with a variety of I/O ports, including two HDMI ports with support for 4K 120Hz and one with eARC/ARC. The latter is useful if you want to connect a standalone soundbar. It packs 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage with the Android TV OS version on top. The UI is smooth, with no stutters, though it takes about 8-10 seconds to switch on. The interface is straightforward and easy to use.There’s no support for G-Sync or FreeSync, so the Haier C11 OLED can’t be used as a gaming monitor. While the TV features a 120Hz refresh rate, it lacks variable refresh rate and ALLM support. The PS5 games look stunning in general the lack of console-centric features is something to keep in mind if you’re planning to buy a TV primarily for gaming. The remote is cluttered with a lot of non-essential buttons, which some might appreciate, but I’m not a fan of the design. It took me weeks to get used to the volume button placement, which is on the right edge of the remote. There’s no need to redesign basic functionality on a remote. That said, the buttons offer good tactile feedback.The 55-inch Haier C11 OLED TV costs INR 1,58,990 in India, which is slightly cheaper than LG and Samsung OLED offerings. While you might consider the LG C3 OLED TV for reliability and gaming features like VRR and ALLM, the Haier OLED is a solid offering that can’t be ignored.
