An Ohio man is facing multiple charges after allegedly firing his gun at a group of juveniles who performed a 'ding-dong ditch' prank on his house.
An Ohio man is facing multiple charges after allegedly firing his gun at a group of juveniles who performed a 'ding-dong ditch' prank on his house.According to court documents , a group of four juveniles is alleged to have knocked on the door of 33-year-old Yarvis Godfrey 's Green Township home on Saturday.
The juveniles are then alleged to have fled shortly after doing so, piling into a nearby car and driving away from the residence.In response, Godfrey is then alleged to have come out of his house and aimed a .45 semi-automatic pistol with a green laser sight at the car, before discharging at least three rounds as the juveniles drove away from the scene.The juveniles then allegedly pulled over into a nearby cul-de-sac after the shooting, while Godfrey pursued them down the street. All five were then allegedly found by police in the same cul-de-sac when officers arrived at the scene.No one was reported in the court documents to be injured during the incident.As police investigated the scene, a bullet hole was allegedly found by police in the trunk of the black Kia Rio used by the juveniles. Officers say that they also found two additional bullet holes that were lodged into two separate neighbors' homes.According to the court documents, a search warrant was executed shortly afterward on Godfrey's home to look for additional evidence, where officers recovered the pistol allegedly used by him during the shooting, in addition to a shell casing on his front lawn.Godfrey is now facing charges of felonious assault, improper discharge of a firearm into a home, and discharge of a firearm on prohibited premises.He was set to be arraigned in court Monday.
