A juvenile bald eagle is undergoing treatment at a wildlife rehabilitation center after being shot, and authorities are seeking information. The Pennsylvania Game Commission is seeking information related to the shooting of the juvenile bald eagle that was found along Goose Hill Road in Herrick Township in Bradford County, near Wyalusing.
The eagle was found with a gunshot wound on the afternoon of Monday, Sept. 2, and the state game warden's investigation suggested that the eagle was shot sometime over the Labor Day weekend. Due to the type of injury, it appears that the eagle had been injured relatively recently and near the area where it was initially observed and removed from, the Game Commission said. The eagle was transported to a wildlife rehab facility, where it is currently undergoing treatment for its wounds.
