ANCHORAGE, Alaska - Earlier this week, a bike was stolen from the Village Inn on Northern Lights Boulevard, despite being locked up.“She throws things at me, spills water everywhere, causes a huge commotion and leaves,” said Lark Shellhamer, a waitress at the restaurant.
“And I realize she’s stealing a bike.” The owner of the bike was devastated, telling people he just bought the bike along with an apartment and was starting his life over, Shellhamer said. “He was so sad,” Shellhamer explained, mentioning that another customer left the restaurant and headed to Fred Meyer next door. “He walks to Fred Meyer, gets a bike, rides it over. The gentleman has no clue,” Shellhamer continued. Shellhamer said the man walked the bike over to the owner of the previous bike, put the kickstand down, and shook his hand.Shellhamer went on to say that things like this happen often at work, but this was a real “tearjerker.” After posting a video of the interaction on TikTok, Shellhamer’s video received over 26,000 views just 12 hours later. “I feel good because I shared good news instead of bad news,” Shellhamer said, encouraged by the kindness seen in Anchorage.Video shows Juneau police officer throwing man to ground during arrest, officer put on administrative leaveWhat is it?
